Jasmine Rice is long grain rice known by its aroma. It has been cultivated in the mountains highlands of Thailand since centuries. This rice variety was first cultivated during the Siam Kingdom and it is named after the jasmine flower of Southeast Asia. During cooking of jasmine rice the scent is released and it is linked to the flowery perfume. Jasmine Rice is liked by its white color and silkiness.
